Using up the scrap papers

I am determined to use up my scrap papers... if I put them in a pile, it is possible, so this card is one step closer to my goal.

Pink and black

I am preparing the house for our holiday leave in August. We rent out our house via a Dutch organization which means all the cupboards have to be empty etc..! I started a while ago with my preparations and am still busy. It obliges me to clean thoroughly too! I have fans on in the house, the shutters and windows are closed to keep out the heat and as I only have the afternoons, as I work in the mornings, I have to get on with it. A little unwinding in the craft room first though!!

Have a lovely day!

  1. I love the scraps you've combined for your background piece, great autumn colors.
(Can't imagine having to get my house ready for someone else to live in it... a somewhat daunting task. But there is a holiday for you at the end of it thankfully:)

  3. I'm so happy to see that the heat has not stifled your lovely creativity! The card is gorgeous and you've inspired me to use up my scraps as well. I'm sorry you are having to do the heavy cleaning in the midst of a heatwave but I'm sure the satisfaction you'll feel when it's completed will be a blessing.
    bless you,
    nancy

  6. Lovely card Jacqueline. Love how the scraps all came together. Sounds a bit of a daunting job to clear out your cupboards but at least a once a year clean up is good.

  11. It seems like just yesterday you were preparing for your trip LAST year! My, how time passes so quickly. Are you going to Spain again? I love to look at your pictures from your holidays; they are almost as pretty as your cards. Buon viaggio!

  13. This is so beautiful as always. I'm so sorry we don't make the trip to the south this year. This year it's a "stay at home" holiday. Uptil now the weather is fine here, so I don't mind that much. But if the weather turns bad, I will feel so sorry for myself. I hope you will enjoy your holiday!

  14. Jacqueline, your scraps are certainly a lot more elegant than my scraps! This is so beautiful. It's always a treat to the eyes to visit your blog. And a treat to the soul as there is a special serenity here.

  15. Oh this is so beautiful. You have the prettiest of papers in your stash. TFS. Lynne M (thanks for your comment about how I tear paper - it is very random but sometimes I create gentle creases as a guide x)
